Exam Structure

  • In Part 1, you are to complete and select the best conclusion or continuation from the three options for each of the seven incompleted dialogues.
  • For every conversation in Part 2, you will first listen to 5 discussions and then answer two questions for each conversation from a set of three multiple-choice options.
  • In Part 3, you will listen to a monologue and fill in seven gaps in a note. Each gap needs to be filled using no more than three words.
  • In Part 4, you need to listen to a group discussion/debate and answer 6 follow-up questions posed as multiple-choice questions, each with three options.

1. Bring Valid Identification

You must show a valid original government-issued ID with a photo. The following IDs are generally accepted:

  • Passport

However, you must make sure the test centre you are taking accepts any of these IDs. Ensure the name on your ID matches the name you provided when registering with LanguageCert.

2. Arrive Early / Log in Early

For test centers: Arrive 30 minutes prior to begin check-in and ID verification.

For online exams: Log in 15-30 minutes prior to your start time to allow time for system checks and identity verification by the online proctor.

3. Adjust Yourself to The Exam Environment

Online exam: Clear away all distractions from your desk and ensure the room is well lit. There should be no notes or posters on your walls.

Test Centre Exam: Follow all staff instructions. Leave personal items such as phones, bags, and books in designated storage spaces.

4. For Online Exams

Check your technology

Workstations must use a laptop or desktop. Tablets and mobile devices are not permitted.
